JusticeNet is looking for a part-time solicitor

JusticeNet is seeking a solicitor, preferably with 1-2 years PAE, to assist with the delivery of our Self-Representation Service (Federal Courts) SA/NT (the Service).

Applicants should note that the position is three days per week on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2020, with the potential for renewal, subject to funding. The Service has been funded under a three-year agreement with the Commonwealth Government that expires 30 June 2020. JusticeNet is seeking ongoing funding.

The successful candidate will provide legal and administrative assistance to the Senior Solicitor. You will also work directly with volunteer lawyers who provide advice on a roster basis through our Self-Representation Service. You will have direct client contact and will assist the Senior Solicitor to manage a busy caseload. This unique role will involves working across a diverse range of matters and will give the successful candidate extensive experience working in the General Federal jurisdiction of the Federal Courts.

The salary package includes a base salary of $55-60,000 per annum ($33-$40,000 pro rata) plus superannuation and access to tax-free salary packaging.
