Registrations are now open for Walk for Justice 2016 - Tuesday 17 May.
As you know, Walk for Justice is our flagship fundraising event, which raises funds to help JusticeNet SA connect disadvantaged South Australians with pro bono lawyers. Since 2009, we have provided pro bono assistance to close to 1,000 South Australians in need of legal help. In 2015, more than 500 people participated in Walk for Justice, helping to raise $53,000, which was a great result. This success was due in no small part to the strong message of support displayed by the involvement of so many leading figures in the legal profession and Adelaide business community – including yourself!
We’d love to see you back again this year, so register NOW for Walk for Justice 2016.
This year there is a small registration fee, which includes your Walk for Justice T-shirt which you need to wear on the Walk!
Get a team together and join the largest gathering of lawyers, judges, barristers and other members of the legal community on an early morning walk around Adelaide.
You’ll wander through the Botanic Gardens, and end up in Victoria Square, where you’ll be served a recovery breakfast by Chief Justice Kourakis and other members of our ‘Breakfast Club’. At just under 5km, the early morning stroll is a great way to start the day, mix and mingle with colleagues from the legal profession while supporting JusticeNet SA.
There are great prizes for the highest fundraising teams and individuals, who will have bragging rights as well as taking home the coveted ‘Walk for Justice Cup’.
Register now, get your T-shirt and become part of the Walk for Justice Team! Everyone’s doing it….
